What happens if I am not at home to receive my meat box delivery?

We can leave your meat box any where, just let us know the best place for it to be left on the order form or email us at sales@battensfarm.co.uk and we will ensure it is left where you ask. Please note if you have not told us a specific place to leave your box, our delivery drivers are instructed to find the most suitable place to leave your order or will leave it with a neighbour.

How long will the meat stay cool for if I am not there to sign for my meat box delivery?

All meat boxes are packed with the award winning woolcool insulation and cooling packs, ensuring your meat stays cooler for longer. What ever time of day you get home to your meat box (as long as it is the same day as delivery) it will still be cool, ready for you to freeze and refrigerate.

I like the idea of a regular meat box service, but I am not ready to commit yet - is there something else I can try first?

Yes. Head to our set boxes page where you can find the Battens Taster box and many other set boxes. The Battens taster meat box is a perfect way of sampling our meat on a small basis.

Is there a long tie-in period for the regular meat box service? How much notice do I need to give if I decide it is not for me?

No there is no tie-in period for the regular meat box service. You can stop the service at any time as long as it not within 3 days of the next scheduled delivery. There is no notice period for opting out, simply send us an email and we will do the rest.

If I was to use the regular meat box repeat order system, will you store my payment card details?

No we will not. Your bank card details are not stored on our server at any point. Everything goes through Sagepay's secure gateway using industry standard 128 bit SSL encryption.

Can I track my delivery online?

Yes you can. The day before your delivery is due you will be emailed a unique delivery reference number that you can use to track your delivery online.

Is any of your meat frozen?

No. We will only ever send you fresh meat, so that everything you receive from us has the option of being frozen at your home.

I am a regular meat box subscriber but I am going on holiday and would like to re-schedule or miss a delivery all together - is this possible?

Yes this is not a problem. Simply log into your account and change the delivery date or email us at help@battensfarm.co.uk if you need to miss a delivery so we can ensure you are not charged.

Is your beef always Aberdeen Angus?

Aberdeen Angus is our signature breed. The majority of our beef will be Aberdeen Angus, however when not available we will use beef from one of our trusted Somerset suppliers, and the beef will always fall in line with the Battens promise - ensuring complete traceability.

Can you offer a Saturday meat box delivery?

You can have your meat box delivered on a Saturday for an additional charge, please contact help@battensfarm.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
